An Evening With Dame Diana Rigg Tickets

London Concerts
For one night only - An Evening with Dame Diana Rigg!
Dame Diana Rigg’s career has spanned much-loved roles from The Avengers’ Emma Peel to Lady Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones. This rare close encounter with the writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson promises to leave no stone unturned – or in the words of Rigg’s much-lauded collection of the worst ever theatrical reviews No Turn Unstoned. Last year, Rigg returned to Broadway in a revival of Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady, for which she earned a Tony Award nomination. Her career began at the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she shared a stage with Laurence Olivier when she was barely out of The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She created leading roles in two plays by Tom Stoppard, Jumpers and Night and Day, and has received rave reviews in the great tragic roles including Medea (on Broadway), Mother Courage (at The National), Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and a Ted Hughes-translated Phèdre (at the Almeida). She has won some of theatre and television’s most coveted awards.

Dame Diana Rigg was captivating, warm, hilarious, engaging. The way she shared her vast array of experiences and memories enriched us all. The multi-generational audience all clearly love and appreciate this remarkable talent. To hear stories of an actress who worked with legends including Olivier, Elizabeth Taylor, Vincent Price was unforgettable. I for one have come away inspired and energized.

Diana is a real star, on of the British greats. Spent a lot of time talking about the theatre where she has obviously spent most of her career, but most peopleknowherfortvand film and more emphasis on this would have beenapreciated

I was a bit disappointed that her TV and movie career was almost completely ignored. I guess many people in the audience would have expected a bit more talk about her experience with cult TV show The Avengers and on set of James Bond - On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but the host (who did a good job in general) unfortunately neglected that and focussed solely on her theatre career.

A delightful time with a delightfull performer, talking with true passion and wit about her career as an actress, her life as a woman, her love for theater, her opinion on writing, filming, performing... Dame Diana Rigg's fantastic memory served for this 90 min flied by in a instant, packed with delicious anecdotes, humour, deep thoughts... No melancholy here, but a sharp look on what times used to be and what they are now. An optimistic, educated and brilliant mind. Lovely event.
