It was stunning; easily the best show I’ve ever seen

Terrible. My wife fell asleep and made me leave at the interval. Not funny.

Most of al it was fun while being insightful about relationships, clever sets, enjoyed the adaptation from the original, acting was engaging, a little rough since it was just getting off the ground but that didn’t detract from the overall pleasure of the show. I would recommend it for an enjoyable evening.

Excellent show, very funny and enjoyable. We had the understudy for Bobbie and she did a marvellous job. The time flew by. Will be recommending others to go and see the show.

How can you not enjoy an old fashioned movie moment when the understudy goes on & nails it? The show still has the same strengths & flaws as it always did; the redo works great in most, but not all respects. But overall, it holds up quite well.

In my all time top 3 shows. It was incredible and brilliantly updated and current. Choreography was superb. The gender swap worked so well I think I prefer it to the original. Rare for me to want to go again to a show, but I would love to see this all again!!

Excellent show. Changing gender of Bobbie worked well. First half better than second: Ladies Who Lunch wasn't great.

An excellent show. One of the best Sondheim productions I've ever seen.

  • Review Avatar Oct 15, 2018

Would definitely recommend, this show is funny, plenty of laughter throughout, and the scenery is excellent, like nothing I've ever seen on stage before.

Interesting and funny, It captivated the interest of the audience from the very beginning. Good acting.

One of the best - if not the best- of Sondheim works. intelligent, witty, sharp, deep and moving in an updated version that does not conflict with the original intention of the musical. On the contrary, it makes it more fluid and relevant to a potential new Sondheim audience. The production was simply brilliant, an ensemble that works as a team but with every part played and sang to perfection. I've only missed Sophie Thompson, so good and funny in the Donmar production years ago. It is an evening like this that gives musicals the place they deserve in popular culture. When Sondheim goes...what's going to happen to them?

An amazing reworking of a classic. Really works well with Bobby as a young woman. The cast is truly wonderful. Staging is inspired. Patti Lupone is a legend.

Loved the show! Amazing actors and performance, really funny. The only negative note is about the temperature in the theater, it was too cold, I was freezing during all the performance!
