Music was wonderful, and the singing was beautiful. Was absolutely marvelous how well the stage setting kept changing, you could always feel and see where they were during sets.

Could barely see, being in the back stalls, but even despite this, I thought it was awful. Silly, uninspiring story line, boring songs, just sappy rubbish in my opinion.

My daughter only wanted to go and see Dove Cameron and is she was ill on her second performance. Very disappointing for a 10yr old.

I had wanted to see it because of the magnificent poster that has been on South Bank for some months. The set lived up to the poster. The music was beautifully performed, if not memorable, and provided a relaxing charming show.

Exactly as I anticipated—I was so moved by the play, characters, and setting.

Renée Fleming stunning and Rob Houchen a delight.

I was sadly disappointed after all the hype.It was nothing like West Side Story, not a memorable song in it. And far too much Italian for non speakers to sometimes follow the plot.Glamorously dressed and interestingly staged and 'stars' but that was not enough to rescue a disappointing evening.

Loved the show and the venue. Only gripe was we had travelled from Birmingham and we waited ages and ages by the stage entrance but noone came out or told us anything. So after an hour we left. If noone was going to come out because it was press night, someone could have told us. Fans are special and we were just stood there not knowning what to do, noone said anything, no organisation.

This is an outstanding musical mounted in London with only mediocre success. The direction was lacklustre; the fine voices--technically speaking--missed the human connection between the characters, engineered primarily because the director turned the actors out to the audience rather than to each other.Atl Lincoln Centre, the orchestra was under the stage, here they were on it and distracting. Many of the critics rightly said they were unmoved by the production--the fault is not in the musical itself but in the way it was directed. Not a wasted evening but not a good one either.

This is a lovely, light, fantastical, romantic story. Unfortunately I found this particular production to be good but not great. The direction and staging were boring and missed the nuance of the story. The sound quality in the venue was as if you were in a huge warehouse. But the actors who play the mum, Fabrizio and the sister in law almost made up for everything. They were outstanding.
