God's Dice Tickets

London Play
David Baddiel's debut play God's Dice starring Alan Davies
A play about Quantum Miracles by David Baddiel. Starring Alan Davies. What would happen if someone was able to prove, scientifically, the existence of God? When Edie, a student in university lecturer Henry Brook’s physics class, seems to do exactly that, his universe – including his marriage to celebrity atheist author Virginia – is rocked. Science and religion go head-to-head in a ferociously funny battle for power, sex, fame and followers. Starring Alan Davies (Jonathan Creek and QI), David Baddiel’s debut play is an electric tragicomedy about the power of belief and our quest for truth in a fractured world.

Ambitious plot that did not quite hit the mark it seemed to be aiming at. Loved all the performances and the set up of the theatre which is very cosy. Still enjoyed it immensely as made me think...

Loved the small theatre, great acting. Funny and thought provoking. No need to dress up.

We saw this last night and have to say what a wonderfully enjoyable play by the amazing David Baddiel and this production is a work of pure genius and well worth seeing in it's London run, (until the end of November). The cast are astonishingly good and we were rivitted buy their gloriously good performances for over 2 hours. All the leads were a joy to watch and at the top of their game and can't say have enjoyed a play as good as this in a longtime, '5 star' quality entertainment. I wast familiar with Edie (Leila Mimmack), but she is an amazing young actress who is phenominally good and gave a mind blowingly joyous performance as Alan's student.

A bit heavy to start but once into the theme it developed very well and the script must be one of the hardest to learn I have ever seen. A mixture of physics technical (it matters not whether any of it is true) and wordology , baffles me how the cast remember it all. Very entertaining and always a good venue.
