Hoard the new family drama from Bim Adewunmi comes to the Arcola Theatre
Rafi and Ami are about to meet their little sister’s boyfriend for the first time. Out of the blue, their mother arrives. Wura often shows up unannounced, and it’s never been a problem except this time, it is. Why doesn’t she know Brian exists? For this close knit family, this secret has explosive consequences, one that forces the three sisters and their mother to face up to old hurts and unspoken tensions. From director Femi Elufowoju jr (The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives) and writer Bim Adewunmi comes a new play about family, feuds and food, set in the heart of Dalston.

I thought the play was excellent - thoroughly enjoyed it. Huge admiration for the actors - especially the lady who 'stepped in' for the member who was sick. Amazing - hardly noticed her reference to script. The Arcola is always good value. I have seen excellent productions there. It is my favourite theatre choice. many thanks to all cast and production team

I got insight into the Nigerian immigration experience and the psychosis that the dual identity of kids borne of the immigrant parents go through. Done with great humour too that any Nubian In the diaspora would feel. Great production! Plenty of laughter from everyone!

The play was quite real and straight to the point with lots of comedic support along the way
