One of the best children’s shows we’ve seen!

  • Review Avatar Dec 1, 2019

Poor value for an hour of ‘lumpy’ children’s entertainment. Some parts were boring for the kids, some just about got their attention.

Anyone who likes the books will love it!

    Really engaging and funny

Great for for our 5 year old who loves the storybooks. Sitting in the 2nd row and ended up with him on my lap - difficult for him to see the stage. I expect seats in the middle half way up might be a better view

    Great show, lots of fun!

Initially grabbed the children’s attention as they love the books but lost it in the middle. My 4 year olds didn’t understand what had happened and were asking when the production was finishing.

Fun show probably best for two and a half to four year olds. Great touch getting some of the children in the audience to say their name and something to rhyme with it, and read out at the end of the show.

The performance was great and a lot of fun. Both my two year old and four year enjoyed it!

Fantastic production. My 5 year old son and I loved it! We’ve been to many children’s theatre before including Julia Donaldson, and Oi Frog stands out in front. Definitely recommend it.

we had a great time! Buzzy and fun

  • Review Avatar Dec 24, 2019

The production was great. However there were too many stereo types for modern children: the Mexican dance, the cat speaking in an urban way - all quite racist. A more diverse cast could have mitigated for this. But we did love it and so did our grandson.

Absolutely fabulous and perfect for our grandson who is only 2 and a half - he was mesmerised for the whole hour I would truly recommend it The actors work so hard to keep the children’s attention . It works from a story aspect for the older audience and the singing and interaction for the little ones . I think they need to know the book ( which all the children seem too ) and we’re able at points to join in Excellent 5 star Christmas treat ????

Great show, my 4 and 6 year old loved it The Lyric though wasn’t clear on arrival and ticket pick up, not opening until half an hour before the show started, and not letting us in after collecting tickets to use facilities so lots of families with small kids were left to wait outside and then had to rush in for the show . The Lyric should open at least an hour before the 11am show
