Richard III tickets are now available for the Headlong production at Alexandra Palace!
Richard Duke of Gloucester is determined that he should wear the crown of England. He has already despatched one king and that king's son; now all that stand in his way are two credulous brothers and two helpless nephews - the Princes in the Tower. And woe betide those - the women he wrongs, the henchmen he betrays - who dare to raise a voice against him.

The play and the theatre were both very impressive. However the late start and the absence of seating in the theatre foyer were quite unprofessional. An elderly infirm man was left standing for over ten minutes as he was not permitted to enter the auditorium. Eventually staff brought him a chair.

I thought smoke and mirrors lost its appeal after the first few minutes and the dark set with conventional “smart” clothing detracted from what was a reasonably acted production. They had a reasonably large stage that wasn’t used. I think the productions set and look seemed a good idea on paper but fell short in presentation. It lacked drama. The additional ghosts as a method for removing cadavers from the stage and adding conscience didn’t do it for me. The vine covered posters made the show look exotic but it wasn’t. So competent acting but nothing special and a tad bland.

I thought it a very good production on the whole. Tom Mothersdale was magnificent as Richard and the other cast members were equally good. I did have trouble hearing some people particularly the women when they were facing away from the audience. The main problem was finding the theatre ! A stranger to the area I didn't see one sign (coming from Wood Green) that mentioned it. How was I to know the Ice Rink (clearly signposted) was next to the theatre ??

Stunning venue - so glad it has been revived after being ignored for so long. R III my favourite play of all time. Have seen it lots of times - everyone different. The mirrors a triumph.

An excellent interpretation of Richard 111. The simple set added to the whole experience and was easily adapted. Well acted especially by Tom Mothersdale.

I really loved the play and the Ally Pally theatre is beautiful. However was bit disappointed that I had to print out my ticket (as it stated many times in the email) I feel we should just be able to use tickets on our phones. If this is possible can you please change the wording on the email and tickets because it’s just a waste of paper.

Absolutely flawless! The sound design was so captivating and effective and Tom Mothersdale as always did not disappoint, I’ve seen him in so many things and I’m so excited seeing all the buzz around him, himself and the rest of the cast gave such an amazing and believable performance I was left completely speechless by the end and want to go see it again!

Very good production of a wordy play. Cast all gave excellent performances. Very good use use of sound and lighting to enhance the performance in what is a wonderful venue. Only downside for me would be the lack of seating in the foyer. It would be nice to have somewhare to sit for a pre performance drink.
