The American Clock Tickets

London Play
A ground-breaking play by Arthur Miller will be opening in the Old Vic.
In an American society governed by race and class, we meet the Baum family as they navigate the aftermath of an unprecedented financial crisis. The world pulses with a soundtrack fusing 1920s swing and jazz with a fiercely contemporary sound, creating a backdrop that spans a vast horizon from choking high rises to rural heartlands.

Confusing play due to multiple characters. Could have made the story threads more obvious with characters/casting more consistent

The play was excellent - what was less so was the £11 surcharge per ticket levied by London Theatre Direct. Had I known the level of mark-up, I would not have bought through this service.

I really enjoyed the play even though it’s talking about the Great Depression. My favourite part was the beautiful jazz music played throughout the play! Fantastic ????

Got excellent seats at a very good price ( paid £25 for £55 seats) at this excellent performance. Staging was very creative, and acting was superb with all actors taking several different roles and playing them all perfectly. Play itself dealt with the Great Depression in the US, which is of high relevance today in the light of the 2008 crash and Brexit and was very informative as well as being highly entertaining, with some good song and dance numbers thrown in for good measure.

American Clock is a great production. I didn't know any real details about the great depression in American that happened in the 1930's the play was creative in its story telling as well as informative. The cast was amazing and I would definitely recommend this play. Had great seats in the dress circle and I love the Old Vic its a fab venue.

Very long show, found it a bit confusing. Had hoped to enjoy the 2nd half more but didn’t really. Really nice to be in The Old Vic but if I’d read reviews of the show at the time I got the tickets before it opened I doubt I would have booked.

I enjoyed the show but found it a little dull visually and that it relied on dialogue too much. I did become a little bored, I’m afraid. However, the acting was good, as was the singing and dancing. Just all to ‘the same’ throughout, for me.

I did not see anyone selling programs. Why?

Well acted. Well staged. Liked how actors engaged with both sides of the audience. Clarke Peters was superb.

I THINK IT WAS TOO LONG

Great actors. With a seat on stage I had the chance to see and hear them act closely, a huge pleasure.
