The show had amazing intensity. The intimate theatre and spare setting made it very engaging. The set was very versatile and imaginative and both actors gave really strong performances in several roles. I had read the book and this play brought it to life beautifully. A friend who had not read the book found the story slightly confusing, but still appreciated the skill and emotion of the drama.

I go to the theatre a lot but seldom come across a play like this, which is original, brilliantly acted, and dramatically sustained for the whole of its exciting 70 minutes.

The Fishermen was an amazing adaptation. David and Valentine gave superb and very clever performances, playing multiple characters with feeling. Great vision from the director for imagining how this would work and congratulations to the writer Chigozie!

Exceptional display of emotions and acting skill by the actors. The simple stage setting elevates the visualization of the story, like reading a captivating first class novel.

The show was Amazing, worth every penny. The play was a great blend of humour and seriousness - the only minor issue was that the theatre itself it too cold - I had to keep my coat and scarf on. But I fully intend to go again with some other friends as the play really did the book justice - I can’t wait to watch it again
