Havnt been to the theatre in 5yrs but saw this on this morning and as I’ve read the book, had to see it. Didn’t see the film. 17 yrs commuter to London, can relate to English setting. Really good adaptation for the theatre, stage sets so simple but so effective and the red dress gradually turning black, really added to the whole feel of the play. Shocked at first at the humour but it made the audience feel part of the play, made it more personal. Really felt you where there. Is of course different from the book but an excellent play, would suggest at the end saying if anyone was effected by this play ‘gaslighting or losing a baby’ there is help! As some of the audience were crying and saying that’s me.. well done Guys Brilliant first night.

Brilliant acting by all especially Samantha Womack. My daughters 21st birthday theatre trip she has read the book and we have seen the film. Definitely recommend to anyone who has enjoyed the film. So much feeling and expression portrayed by all of the actors and simple stage props. We tried to meet Samantha Womack at the stage door afterwards would of been the icing on the cake for my daughter’s 21st but was told she left by another exit earlier on the first night of the show. So that was disappointing.

Surprisingly roomy seating, (my son is 6.4 ft!) . Beautifully air conditioned which made it for me, seamless staging and props. Staff very polite, professional and friendly. A worthy night out.

    Really well adapted

I didn't go to my performance due to record breaking temperatures - I bet 'The Girl' wouldn't have travelled 'On The Train' that day either, especially if she had to use the Central Line!

The way the show is put together is very clever and effective, I was disappointed with the main character, she wasn’t very strong or characterful, I feel mean saying this but the acting was poor. Sadly I think it’s a show that needs a great strong ‘Rachel’, it’s this character that shapes the tone and drama of the show and it was all rather flat. Overall the show misses the intensity of the film. (NB. Rachel wasn’t played by S. Womack on this occasion). My tickets were reasonably priced, it was an enjoyable production but I’d have been sorely disappointed had I paid a lot for the tickets.

It was a thrilling theatre experience! Like no other. I haven't read the book yet, but I am really curious to see how well it was translated on the stage.

Really enjoyed the play. Initially disappointed that Samantha Womack wasn’t Rachel, however Lowenna Melrose was amazing, as was the rest of the cast. Lovely Theatre great atmosphere.

Knew the story from book and film. This production added humour. One liners delivered with comic timing. A strong performance from Samantha Womack
