The Girl Who Fell Tickets

London Play
Dark comedy The Girl Who Fell by Sarah Rutherford heads to Trafalgar Studios for a strictly limited run.
★★★★ ‘Powerful. Piercing. Laugh-out-loud.’ WhatsOnStage ★★★★ ‘A warm piece of theatre brimming over with emotional honesty’ The Spy In The Stalls Stage Traffic Productions and Eilene Davidson present the world premiere of The Girl Who Fell, a powerful new play by Sarah Rutherford, former Writer in Residence at Park Theatre and writer of sell-out hit Adult Supervision. “It seems wrong that she experienced something so huge without me. Like if your kids had sex before you did.” Teenager Sam’s dead. After some social media foolishness. And everyone says it’s her mum’s fault. When bereaved mother Thea sets off on a mission to find out why her daughter Sam is dead, she is joined in her journey by bickering teen twins Lenny and Billie, plus Gil — a lost-soul whose life collides with theirs in a way that can only ever get messy. This poignant and darkly funny play about loss, guilt and snapchat, stars Navin Chowdhry (Gil), Rosie Day (Billie), Will Fletcher (Lenny) and Claire Goose (Thea), and runs for a strictly limited season at Trafalgar Studios from 15 October – 23 November.

Amazing production, definitely worth seeing. Four actors, in a small theatre so you feel involved and can see their expressions. About the aftermath of a suicide but with enough dark humour that it's not overwhelmingly intense. The 90 minutes flew by.

An excellent play with superb acting, we really got caught up in the moment. Excellent story. Never been to this theatre before or viewed a production so close up - it was brilliant.

A little too long and a little far fetched at times. The two younger actors were very good.

A surprise in a small venue. Enjoyable. Good venue

Actors worked really hard in this performance but the story was a bit dry. Would have been great if there was a bit more focus on why Sam actually killed herself in my view. Also a little more character development would have been great.

I really enjoyed, the cast was great, good acting and all was great. I am really sorry there were not so many people in audience as it is a great play! Thank you to all!

My only grievance is that the lady who played the teenager is way, way too beautiful. It was distracting.

Provocative issues and interpersonal dynamics very well acted. Perhaps a bit over-written; more twists and revelations than were helpful or necessary.

Excellent vehicle to explain and bring to the surface “bullying”. Well done
